Dear Parents and Students,
I am truly excited about this school year and feel very confident that it will be a great one.
I grew up in Ohio and taught there for 3 years before coming to Virginia. I have experience teaching different grade levels but I think 5th grade is my favorite.
I have some nice memories about my time in elementary school. When I was in 5th grade I liked to stay after school with some of the other girls in the class and help our teacher, Sister Augustine. When we were finished helping with the chores, Sister Augustine would teach us songs on the piano. We thought that was great fun. That year, my family got a piano and I started taking lessons.
I have 2 grown children. Kate graduated from Mary Washington in 2007 and is taking classes online so she can get certified as a Vet technician. Matt is in his Senior year at Radford University. He enjoys playing ice hockey on the college team.
